Beewise was born in 2019, the brainchild of Brazilian product designer Carina. It is an eco company dedicated to making zero waste living easier for all those interested in a more sustainable way of life. Their mission is to make sure that excessive plastic use becomes a thing of the past. And to ensure that everyone has access to eco-friendly, sustainable products.
Beewise is all about recognising that each small step we take at home can be a step in the right direction, and that together, the small changes we make will add up to make a big difference for people and our planet.
Carina grew up spending summers in a farm (photo above) in Brazil with her Austrian grandmother. Her grandmother was an agronomist – a globally renowned pioneer in organic farming. From this inspiring woman, Carina learned to cherish nature and respect natural resources as a child.
She began her career in a design studio in Milan. But soon realised that she did not want to make beautiful things only for people to consume without thinking about the planetary impact. The ideas began to grow, and after moving to Amsterdam in 2016, she felt compelled to do something about waste. Struck by the huge amount people throw away, she determined to do something. The Beewise concept began to grow.
After research and development, Beewise started selling sustainable products online to the European market at the end of 2019. The plastic-free products are now also available in a few physical shops in Amsterdam. Beewise brings sustainable consumers the tools they need to ditch single use plastics and move towards a greener way of life. You can check here the products.
The packaging used for all products is 100% plastic free, biodegradable and home compostable. By using these products, we can move away from products that come at too high a cost, in terms of carbon, energy, water and land. We can buy less, but buy better. And reduce all forms of waste in our daily lives.
The company is always striving to make it easier than ever before for people to make the right choices about the things that they buy and how they live. It seeks to spread awareness about the environmental issues we all face.
