Hello! I’m Carina, a Brazilian product designer living in Amsterdam. My love for nature, animals, and caring for the environment has been a big part of my life since childhood, thanks to unforgettable summers at my grandmother’s farm (on the top photo) in Brazil.
My grandmother was truly special. As a pioneering organic farmer, she embraced a simple, sustainable lifestyle. She grew most of her own food, mended clothes by hand, and used plants for natural healing. Every bit of waste was turned into compost to enrich her farm’s soil.
Inspired by her sustainable practices, I’m committed to carrying on her legacy by reducing single-use plastics and offering toxic-free products that care for both your body and the planet.
In 2019, I had a wake-up call: I learned that most plastic isn’t actually recycled - only 9% globally, and just 50-60% in the Netherlands. Wanting to reduce my own waste, I struggled to find eco-friendly alternatives in regular stores.
Conversations with friends and parents at my kids' school made it clear that many people were unaware of or unconcerned about their plastic waste.
That’s when Beewise was born - with a mission to make sustainability simple and accessible. We help people make conscious choices by offering reusable, non-toxic, and eco-friendly alternatives to everyday products, all with compostable brown kraft paper packaging.
Beewise products are now in over 140 stores across 17 countries in Europe and the US, with our community steadily growing.
We believe small daily changes can lead to big impacts. Join us on the path to a greener future - one mindful choice at a time!
